He wears the #23- Can he live up to it? (LeBron's Career Highlights)

LeBron wears the #23 jersey as a Cavalier; he sure looks like to be the next Michael Jordan. Can he possibly live up to the legend by the famous #23 player?

LeBron admitted that he did choose the #23 to honor Michael Jordan, his role model in basketball. Aside from this, it seems like LeBron has been proving his worth for this claim and for this number.

LeBron's career boomed from the very start. Being the first junior high school student to snatch the spotlight for the NBA Draft, his spotlight did not dim a bit. He was the first overall pick of the Cleveland Cavalier in the 2003 NBA Draft, and joined the team formally in July 2003. Shortly after that, he made his way to the business. From his first year as a professional player, LeBron has been bagging several awards. Such performance is absolutely amazing to a newbie in the professional ball game; and it really made the public stop and check him out.

He got selected to be in the NBA All-Rookie 1st Team in 2003-2004. One of his breakthrough awards is the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2003-2004. This gave him the bragging rights to be the first ever- and youngest, for that matter - Cavalier to receive this award.

With great talent from the very start of his career, he had already marked his name in the NBA history by averaging 20 points in minimum, five assists and rebounds in a single season. With this, he took the third slot in history as a rookie who had this kind of performance for a season. Not only that: LeBron also joined the NBA legends Michael Jordan, Oscar Robertson and Jerry West for being the fourth player to set a record of an average better than 31 points, six (6) assists and seven (7) rebounds.
